I homeschool my kids and was looking for a "how to" writing program. We tried a few different things but they either were not specific enough or had too much "busy work" that bored my kids. I've used this for 2 kids and it's worked very well in teaching them the basic writing skills they needed to write sentences, paragraphs, letters, and outlines. It uses a step by step process which was key in helping my son finally "get" how to write good paragraphs and basic reports.It's affordable and thorough. It's a great resource for any parent or homeschooling parent wanting to teach writing skills.Be aware, there is Book A that comes before Book 1.
this book is very good at helping children with writing processing disorders. it slowly teaches the organization of a sentence, then a paragraph, then a paper. My son could not even think about writing a paper before this book helped him slowly put it all together.

Terrific book for the open and go teacher and struggling student. Teaches writing in bite size pieces. Not overwhelming.
This series by Ms King is the best method for teaching grammar and composition. If you are homeschooling, get the teachers manual if you can find it. Either way, the books are self explanatory.
This is a great book for anyone starting their student out in writing! Learned mechanics and a well-written paper are to be found at the end!
