I thoroughly enjoy reading the "Teach Your Dragon" children books, for they always teach my children an important life lesson in a simple and easy way that they can understand. It's important for children today to have morals, and the only way that they will obtain them is if they are taught from a young age.
My grandson says that he learned how to not demand two snacks for himself, but only one for everybody else. He will also be more mindful about being kind. He says he would give this book 1,000 stars because it taught him something he needed to know about being kind.
My kids ask me to read this to them every day, which is amazing because I wanted to review manners with them in a way they would enjoy. This story accomplishes that, and has very cute illustrations!
I read these books to my daughter all the time. We have many of the Diggery Doo series. I really believe my daughter has learned from these books. They are fun and help show experience that really occur in a child’s life.
Telling a child 'that's wrong' isn't the way to effectively correct behavior. If you explain why and give pertinent examples you'll get better results.But you get the best results when the child knows something is wrong. Understanding is everything.
Makes me smile as I think of my granddaughter and the Dragon and how much they are alike. Thank you.
